Cleaning & return shipment on the same day from receipt.

Drop off your devices in the shop without a prior appointment. In about 2 - 3 hours, your devices will be professionally cleaned and ready for pickup.

In the case of sensor spots and depending on the degree of contamination, professional wet cleaning is indispensable.

IMPORTANT: The sensor is extremely sensitive. Please follow the instructions carefully to avoid damage to the sensor. Under no circumstances should you apply pressure to the image sensor, press on it with cleaning tools, or direct high-pressure air from a blower onto it. All of these can cause scratches and other damage to the sensor. Nikon recommends having the sensor surface cleaned only by qualified Nikon service personnel.

For small dirt and dust particles, we recommend using aBellows with integrated dust protection filter.

NPS stands for Nikon Professional Services, an exclusive program for professional photographers that offers special benefits such as early access to products and premium customer support.

Sensor cleaning is free for NPS members and can be used up to twice per calendar year for each registered and NPS-supported product. In the case of sending in the product to be cleaned, shipping and packaging costs will be charged for the return shipment. By prior arrangement and subject to available service capacity, sensor cleaning can be carried out directly on-site by the NPS team or at an authorized Nikon Service Point; there is no legal entitlement to this. Furthermore, it is expressly pointed out that as part of an on-site Check & Clean service, only a basic functional check is performed in addition to the sensor cleaning.

What is being done?

Sensors are very sensitive, and safe and effective cleaning requires extensive experience and expertise. Sensor cleaning should only be performed according to the highest professional standards by thoroughly trained technicians.

- With special cleaning agents, stubborn dirt in the mirror or camera interior, including corners and cavities, is completely removed.

- Dry cleaning using a blower and integrated dust protection filter to prevent scratches on the image sensor caused by larger sand or dust particles during wet cleaning.

- Determination of the degree of contamination and the positioning of dirt deposits on the image sensor using a sensor magnifier.

- For DSLR cameras, the mirror and focusing screen cleaning is now performed.

- Special wet cleaning process on the image sensor.

- Bayonet cleaning.

- Check work using a sensor magnifier and create reference images.
