From receipt 1 business day.

If a defect is found in a product during the requested maintenance service, we will inform you by email with a cost estimate for recommended repairs or adjustments.

In this case, we are waiting for your response on whether these works should be carried out.

If no repairs are necessary, we will complete the inspection and send the devices back. You will be informed of this with a tracking link.

You can drop off your devices at the shop without an appointment.

After approximately 4.5 hours, the inspection of your devices is complete. We will inform you by email or, if desired, by phone call when your devices are ready for pickup.

If necessary, we will inform you about recommended repair work after individual assessment via email or upon collection at the Nikon Service Point Dresden (only if necessary).

Then decide for yourself which repair measures should be carried out.

NPS stands for Nikon Professional Services, an exclusive program for professional photographers that offers special benefits such as early access to products and premium customer support.

As part of the NPS, a Check & Clean service is also offered for registered and NPS-supported products, provided by Nikon or the authorized Nikon Service Points in Germany. This service includes sensor cleaning and the annual inspection.

NPS members are entitled to one free inspection and external cleaning (annual inspection) per calendar year for registered products supported by NPS.

From sensor cleaning to complete maintenance (including autofocus (AF) adjustment) and focus calibration, our multi-point services ensure that your devices always deliver the best performance.

Camera Inspection

Cleaning of the image sensor, the mirror (if applicable), the external LCD surfaces, and the camera body.

Checking movable parts (buttons, dials, locks), operation of the flash shoe, internal flash, inserting and removing the memory card, attaching and removing the lens, camera/lens communication, operation of connectors and sockets, internal error messages, tightness of external screws, video functions. Exposure and shutter speed are also checked with an image test.

Verification from camera shutter count and firmware version. Firmware update, if applicable and requested.

Lens Inspection

Cleaning of the external lens surfaces and the external lens housing.

Inspection of lens attachment and removal, camera/lens communication, external lens barrel, operation of the image stabilizer (if applicable), operation of focus and zoom rings (if applicable), operation of the tripod ring (if applicable), aperture function, external screws, exposure and resolution using an image test.
